The T-shaped finned tube reboiler is an efficient boiling heat transfer equipment, which has filled a gap in China's boiling heat transfer equipment field, and was included in the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" National Key New Product Plan by the National Science and Technology Commission. It adopts a T-shaped finned tube formed without cutting and rolling process to replace the ordinary smooth tube, so that the liquid boiling is carried out in the spiral channel of the T-shaped finned tube. During the boiling process, due to the rapid circulation of the vapor and liquid inside and outside the spiral channel, efficient liquid film evaporation is formed in the channel, which greatly increases the heat transfer coefficient and prevents scaling during high-speed circulation.
Compared with the ordinary smooth tube reboiler, the T-shaped fin tube reboiler not only has higher heat transfer efficiency, but also has the advantages of low wall temperature, high critical heat load, smooth operation, and high elasticity, etc. which are required for boiling. After application in petrochemical and other fields, it has achieved significant economic benefits.
The heat transfer efficiency of T-shaped finned tube is ≥3 times higher than that of smooth tube, saving ≥30% of heat transfer area. In 1993, the product passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Commission, which filled a gap in the domestic boiling heat transfer equipment.
